We're always looking to connect with others who are interested in joining our team. We have volunteer opportunities for parents or other caregivers with real life experiences, mental health professionals with relevant expertise, and others who just want to assist in pursuing our mission. In the box below, please tell us about yourself, why you're interested in Starting the Conversation, and how you'd like to get involved.
Some of the most important voices in the conversation about kids' mental health are those of parents and other caregivers who have experienced taking care of a child affected by a mental illness, a mental health condition, or a trauma. If you'd like to add your voice in this way, and join our roster of parent panelists, please let us know. Your willingness to share your story can make a world of difference.
A crucial element of every Starting the Conversation panel is the mental health professional, who adds invaluable expertise and insight to the conversation. We so appreciate these generous individuals for making what we do possible. We are always looking to include more mental health professionals on our roster, and we seek those who have experience working with children and adolescents.
We always need people to help set up the venue, pass out and collect questionnaires, and generally be available to help with the little things that go into our conversations. Please let us know if you'd like to be one of our very important and much appreciated event helpers. The work is not demanding, and you'll have plenty of time to listen to our panelists.
In addition, we welcome donations from the community, as there are costs associated with our work. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please reach out to us, and we will respond with information about how to donate. Starting the Conversation is a 501(c)(3) organization.
If you represent a school, religious organization, work place, civic organization, or other forum and would like to host a Starting the Conversation event, we would like to hear from you. Please reach out to us by providing relevant information in the box below. Someone from our staff will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
There are many ways to join the conversation. You can volunteer with our organization, host an event, or donate to support our mission.
